Brendan Sullivan
Head of School

Brendan Sullivan, a native of Boston, is a graduate of Boston College High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Philosophy and English from Boston College, his master’s degree in Education from Loyola University Maryland, and his master’s degree in English from the Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College.
Brendan most recently served as Head of St. Michael’s School, a PreK–8 Episcopal school in Tucson, Arizona, for eight years. During his tenure at St. Michael’s, he focused on nurturing a strong, mission-driven community while advancing both academic excellence and whole-child development. With a deep devotion to K–8 education and a special passion for the middle school years, Brendan brings extensive experience as an educator, coach, and school leader who understands the transformative power of this stage of learning.
An avid cyclist on all terrains, Brendan looks forward to exploring the bike trails and backroads all over the coast on his many bikes! Brendan, his wife Alison and their three children look forward to living in Portsmouth, having close access to their two children in Maine colleges.
