How wonderful to have the animals so loved by our families present on our campus! On Wednesday, October 3rd, Heronfield families arrived with retrievers, shepherds, labs, spaniels, pugs, corgis, cats, a hamster, a rat, and a worm (!) to be blessed by Reverend Mark Pendleton of Christ Church, Exeter.  During our outdoor Blessing of the Animals service, the community was asked to remember beloved pets who have died and to also remember animals kept in captivity, those without homes, those who are hunted, and those who have been abused or neglected. Each Heronfield pet was called by name and asperged, blessed by the sprinkling of water. This was quite a surprise for some and quite a game for others!  Please enjoy these wonderful photos from this special morning.
